There are some missing pieces to the Richard Sherman story.
Sherman was released from jail today and we hope that he gets the help he needs. BSO provided the full police report about what happened after the police arrived at his father-in-law’s home, but now we have video of what happened just before that.
In a video provided by TMZ you can see Sherman violently trying to get into his father-in-law who has been IDed at Raymond Moss’ home.
Several times, Sherman bangs up against the door and trying to get Mr. Moss to come outside.
At one point he calls Mr. Moss a b*tch.
It was not immediately clear why Sherman, 33, was trying to enter the home but his father-in-law told Redmond police that he pepper-sprayed the athlete and picked up his gun during the incident. It appears as if people inside were screaming during the incident.
Towards the end of the video you see Sherman stumble a bit and that is when the cops show up.
Thankfully, this didn’t turn into a tragedy. Especially because Mr. Moss had a weapon and seem prepared to use it.
This is shaping up to be more of a family dispute along with an alcohol issue.
I am just glad that Sherman is alive and well. The cops and Mr. Moss could have easily shot him considering the aggression he was showing.
Sherman hasn’t spoken about the incident, but everyone including his wife says this was out of character for him and he has been having a tough couple of months.
I am never quick to make CTE the reason for everything, but it will probably be wise that Sherman gets checked out neurological just to make sure everything is ok with his brain.
That would be prudent thing to do.
