Who knew that Drake was a Tyson Fury guy?
Is this bad for Fury?
Does the Drake curse still live, and does it work in boxing?
Superstar rapper Drake offered support for heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury in a video prior to his clash with Deontay Wilder on Saturday night.
Drake called Fury an “inspiration” and wished him “the best of luck” for the fight.
The 33-year-old Fury enters Saturday’s bout with a record of 30-0-1, including a seventh-round knockout win over Wilder in their last fight in February 2020.
Fury got the message and sent one back to Drake, saying after he beats Wilder, Drake will be able to run through Alabama with his woes.
Fury heads into his third fight with Wilder as a solid, almost 3 to 1 favorite. Wilder, who has been training for over a year for this rematch, says this is the best Wilder you will ever see.
Hopefully, there won’t be any excuses from either side this time, and the best man will win. I don’t know if it is too much to expect that they show respect for each other after the fight, but whatever the case, the best we can hope for is a clear winner.
No word on if Drake will be at the fight, but if Fury does lose, I think we can be confident that the Drake curse will be brought up.
The theory goes if Drake co-signs you, an L will follow. It is similar to be the Kardashian curse, but some say it was put to rest when the Raptors won the NBA Championship.
Others say only the power of “Fun Guy” Kawhi could overcome the curse.
This is just another layer to this crazy trilogy fight that has been 20 months in the making and is family here tonight.
