I don’t think it is a particularly hot take.
Jay Z is more of a businessman, and Kanye is definitely more of a creator. There are two wildly different individuals, but both brilliant in their own right.
That said, there is no Roc-a-Fella or even a Kanye without Jay Z.
Dame is still mad at Jay-Z, so there is nothing really surprising about his answer.
In a recent interview Dame Dash was asked to give his opinion on who the greatest artist to come out of Roc Nation is.
“If it’s a choice between Jay and Kanye, I’m going with Kanye. All day, every day,” he said.
“He’s more creative. If it’s about—now, I can speak on that because, you know, I worked with both of them, right? You know, Kanye is a true artist and he does it for the art and Jay-Z does it for the money. It’s two different things,” Dash continued.
In the same interview, Dame spoke about the betrayal he felt from Jay-Z over the Roc-A-Fella dealings.
“That was my n-gga, like we never argued, nothing,” he said. “That’s why I didn’t know it was coming. … That was some real slick sh-t. I was like, ‘That n-gga’s cold. He’s cold.”
At one point, fans thought the pair would be able to reconcile…but this beef seems as if it will never end.
People have been telling Dame to let that hate in his heart go for years, but every time it seems like they will get back on good terms, something happens, and they are back at square one.
Jay has always had cool responses to his relationships with Dame and Kanye, to the point that no one really knows how he feels about either of them.
Jay has always said that he doesn’t think it is a good thing for black men to be beefing publicly.
