It had to be a Dyson vacuum to warrant such a strong suspension.
I know it is only 17 games in the season, but it seems off that one guy can get four games for breaking a vacuum, and another guy only gets 11 with 30+ women who have accused him of massage misconduct, but that is the NFL for you.
Here is what happened between Gay and his baby mama that triggered the suspension.
A rep for Gay says the football player was arrested after he broke a vacuum during an argument with the mother of his child.
“Willie was at his son’s house visiting,” Maxx Lepselter said in a statement Thursday morning. “He and the mother got into an argument during which he broke her vacuum.”
Lepselter insisted the altercation did not turn physical … adding, “No one was touched, nothing happened beyond broken appliance.”
“She called cops about it and they took him in on misdemeanor destruction of property of less than $1,000.” Lepselter expected a quick resolution to the case, perhaps even as early as Thursday afternoon.
“Likely just pays a fine and replaces vacuum. Nothing more, all should be resolved today with no further issues.”
Gay ended up taking a plea deal in the case.
Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay has agreed to, among other conditions, take mental health counseling in order to close out his criminal damage case, TMZ Sports has learned.
According to court documents, Gay cut the deal with prosecutors in late June — roughly six months after he was arrested for allegedly breaking a vacuum during an argument with the mother of his child.
Per the documents, prosecutors agreed to let Gay enter into a diversion program in order to avoid a trial and any further jail time.”
As long as he stayed out of trouble, the case would be dismissed.
This doesn’t bode well for Alvin Kamara, who beat a man’s face in at the Pro Bowl and is still waiting to be punished by the NFL.
