I do not think this is any big news since we live in a free world where people are allowed to do whatever makes them happy once it’s not breaking any law.
According to Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico, they’ve gotten married and are living together after two years of dating. Who cares? In an era where same-sex marriage is legal in many countries, no one actually cares about such news. Congratulations to them!
The New York Post got the details;
Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico revealed they married in secret — after admitting they’ve been “privately” dating for two years.
Former Miss Argentina Mariana Varela, 26, and one-time Miss Puerto Rico Fabiola Valentín, 22, originally met in 2020 during the Miss Grand International competition. Both ended up in the Top 10 of MGI.
The pair always posted about their friendship on social media, but never publicly shared that they were anything more than friends.
The beauty queens confirmed both their relationship and their marriage in a joint Instagram Reel posted to their combined 245,000 followers.
“After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors to them on a special day,” the caption reads.
The Reel — which has 2 million views and 142,000 likes as of Wednesday morning — shows a compilation of clips from their many travels, including a romantic boat ride in Mexico and a trip to Jobos beach in Puerto Rico.
After the travel snippets, the couple shared footage of the night they got engaged, with red and white balloons, rose petals and fairy lights filling up their apartment and gold “M-A-R-R-Y M-E?” balloons on display.
The video then shows Valentín putting an engagement ring on Varela. The couple has almost exactly the same engagement ring — a cushion-cut diamond on a pavé band.
Valentín dons a white blazer dress and Varela wears a white jacket with black trousers at the end of the video, in which they kiss outside the Marriage Bureau in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where they married on Oct. 28.
Argentina legalized same-sex marriage in 2010, and Puerto Rico made it legal in 2015.
