Anthony Joshua Gives Major Update on Deontay Wilder Fight in Saudi Arabia

Anthony Joshua recently claimed that he can lock horns against Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia and share the card with Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury for the undisputed heavyweight title.

Per AJ, the representatives of Saudi Arabia have shown a willingness to host the event in their land and can happen after ‘The Gypsy King’ gets done with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

WBC champion Tyson Fury will face Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia on October 28 without keeping his world title at stake. Hence, he would remain the world heavyweight champion, irrespective of the outcome.

Meanwhile, Oleksandr Usyk shall also successfully defend his WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO heavyweight straps against ‘Dynamite’ Daniel Dubois this weekend. Upon attaining so, the big fans can witness one of the biggest events happening in recent times.

Referring to the Saudi Arabia event, Anthony Joshua said, “The goal is to have [Oleksandr] Usyk and [Tyson] Fury compete for undisputed, with myself and Wilder. It will be a great event.”

Anthony Joshua suffered a big loss in his last appearance in the Middle Eastern Soil. In a failed attempt to recapture the heavyweight title, ‘AJ’ remained on the wrong end of a lopsided beatdown against Usyk in Jeddah.

It was his second consecutive loss in a row and the third in his pro career. Nevertheless, Joshua has returned tit h win-track by beating Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius in his last two outings. Following his KO over Helenius, AJ called -out Deontay Wilder in the post-fight presser.

Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder- Battle of Two Heavyweight Superstars

AJ and Wilder have both been world heavyweight champions and have recently lost their titles to Usyk and Fury, respectively. They are still two of the biggest names in today’s boxing.

Furthermore, Joshua and Wilder have won most of their bouts via knockouts. A few years back, the entire boxing world wanted to see them face for the undisputed championship status. Without the titles, Joshua vs Wilder, would still be an intriguing contest for all the right reasons.
