Dianna Russini of The Athletic tweeted a video on Monday afternoon that showed the incident from a clearer perspective and that she had obtained from a league source. The following video amply confirms Gardner’s claims that Jones struck him in an unacceptable manner:

Question: Sauce Gardner said he thought you gave him a low blow; did you think you did anything wrong on that play?
Mac Jones: “Um, no. I think just trying to get the first down … Definitely a physical play. A lot of guys are in there …” https://t.co/j0feih6YJq

The Jets’ wideout Randall Cobb almost missed a Hail Mary grab on the final play of the game as the Patriots just held on for a 15-10 victory against their longtime rivals. The Patriots last lost to New York in Week 16 of the 2015 season, and have since defeated them 15 times in a row.
On Sunday, New England will travel to face the Dallas Cowboys in an effort to get above.500 for the first time this season, while Gardner and the Jets will remain at home to face the Kansas City Chiefs at home.
