Conor McGregor will be present live in Riyadh to witness Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou lock horns in one of the biggest crossover bouts of this year.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou will be making his boxing debut and will straightway take on the greatest heavyweight of the era, the undefeated Tyson Fury. It’s hard to picture ‘The Predator’ vanquishing ‘The Gypsy King’ in a boxing affair unless done in reality.
That said, UFC two-weight champion Conor McGregor shared his honest opinion on the fight, citing how Francis Ngannou’s power and striking mindset can play a pivotal role. The Irishman, however, predicted a great performance from Fury’s side.

He said, “Great bout. Interesting bout. Francis Ngannou, for me is more of a kickboxer slash boxer than he is a mixed martial artist in my opinion. He is more of a stand-up fighter than he is a mixed martial artist. He has a striker’s mentality. This will stand to him in this bout. He has a tall ask with Tyson Fury.”
“But you know any man can understand. Tyson [Fury] does get hit. You wouldn’t know. It’s going to be a tough ask. I am excited to see it unfold. Tyson looks great in the build-up. He looks fast, light, illusive. [It] could be a seriously stellar performance from Tyson Fury here.”
“The Mike Tyson influx in Francis Ngannou’s corner is very interesting. Francis has power. Francis has big power.”

Conor McGregor Left the Blueprint That Might Have Made Fury vs Ngannou Into Fruition
A decade ago, crossover fights were not a common concept. Boxers were still facing boxers and martial artists were competing against martial artists. However, Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather changed the trend when they clashed back in 2017.
Producing the second biggest PPV fights of all time, Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather left with over $200 million in earnings respectively. It urged several boxers and MMA fighters to compete with each other in boxing contests.
Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley and many more UFC legends laced up the boxing gloves. Now that Francis Ngannou is on the brink of earning his biggest payday against Fury, McGregor will be watching it all.
