One segment of a recent HBO Real Sports broadcast with Jim Irsay, the owner of the Colts, starring Bryant Gumbel, has gone viral.
Irsay discussed his battle with alcoholism and addiction with correspondent Andrea Kremer. They also touched on his notorious arrest in 2014 on accusations of operating a vehicle while inebriated. He said that being “prejudiced against” for being a “rich, white billionaire” was a contributing factor in his detention.
Irsay claimed that his inability to walk when asked to do so by Indiana police was due to recent hip surgery rather than the usage of narcotics. Later, in September 2014, he entered a guilty plea to one misdemeanor count of driving while drunk.
On ESPN’s First Take, Irsay’s remark was discussed. Molly Qerim, Kimberley A. Martin, and Stephen A. Smith chastised the Colts owner harshly.
Irsay retaliated on Wednesday night by accusing Martin of being his personal attacker and threatened to sue.
And on 1st Take, the Woman that preceded Stephen A… how dare you pretend to know me; I don’t know your name and I don’t care to😡. If my Black Mother Dorthy was still alive..you’d be in some big Hot Water! You are mean and ugly🙃 Your a Nothing Burger😕

Kimberley A. Martin, co-host of ESPN’s First Take, has since answered in the most ideal manner. She started by correcting Irsay’s grammar on the insult “Nothing Burger” with a single word, “You’re”.
