Jim Harbaugh “Likely” Punishment for Michigan’s Sign-Stealing Scandal Divulged By ESPN Insider

The Michigan Wolverines‘ most likely punishment from the Big Ten has been detailed by ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Although the NCAA is currently looking into the program’s alleged sign-stealing, the league may punish the university before the investigation is over. Jim Harbaugh was reported to have been keeping tabs on NFL teams following the scandal.

Speaking on “College GameDay” this Saturday, Thamel hinted that Jim Harbaugh, the head coach, would probably face a suspension following today’s matchup with Purdue.

The reporter disclosed that Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti has spoken with conference officials, coaches, and athletic directors in addition to gathering information on the issue from the college football governing body.

“The most likely scenario here is some type of suspension for Jim Harbaugh,” he said. “I wouldn’t expect anything to happen today before the kickoff against Purdue at 7:30, but in the upcoming days, I would expect that we’re going to find out whether or not the Big Ten will punish Jim Harbaugh, what that will be and how long that suspension would be potentially.”

In the meantime, after already receiving a ban from the NCAA, Connor Stalions made the decision to leave his position, leaving on Friday night.

The ex-analyst maintains that neither Harbaugh nor the other coaches were aware of his behavior.
