Star safety Jordan Poyer of the Buffalo Bills has disclosed that Aaron Rodgers exposed him to a hallucinogenic that changed his life.
The quarterback for the New York Jets is renowned for his adventurous ways, and after rupturing his Achilles tendon early in the season, he even underwent an unconventional surgical procedure.
Additionally, he is well-known for being a supporter of ayahuasca, a plant-based therapeutic concoction that causes hallucinations. In an interview with former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III for the podcast “RG3 AndTHeOnes,” Poyer disclosed that he had given it a try at Rodgers’ suggestion. He says the drink helped him find his true identity.
“I know a lot of people say Aaron Rodgers is crazy… there are thousands of ways to heal but Aaron Rodgers was right in what he was talking about in this medicine,” he said. “A lot of people wrote him off, a lot of people think he’s crazy, a lot think he’s just off the wire, but I was interested, so I went.”
Poyer also spoke about his struggles with alcohol and how he needed help .
“I was this close to losing my family, I’m talking my wife, my daughter,”. “I look (at alcohol) as poison now, why would I put poison into my body, why would I do it to myself, to my mind?”
Seems like everything has been about the Ayahuasca, Aaron, and Alcoholics Anonymous for Poyer.
