More intriguing information on Jamal Adams‘ absence from the “Monday Night Football” match between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks has surfaced.
The former Pro Bowl player was a healthy scratch for Monday night’s crucial home game against the NFC Champions. Seattle’s defense ended a four-game losing slide by holding the highly regarded Philly offense to only 17 points in a 20-17 victory.
In a Tuesday interview with The News Tribune on KIRO-AM radio, head coach Pete Carroll disclosed that Adams wasn’t even present at Lumen Field. Carroll claims that Adams was upset to hear he wouldn’t be playing, and the Seattle coach thinks the 28-year-old was at home watching the game. Carroll said ,
“I think he was home,” “It was hard on him. We talked about it, and how he was going to deal with it. And he didn’t need to be there.”
To clarify: No one knows for sure if Jamal Adams left the stadium after being told he wasn't playing because Adams wasn't seen at the stadium early pregame/during the game. All we know is Pete Carroll said he wasn't there and that he thinks Adams was home https://t.co/wI9LOtHVSE

Following a stellar 2020 campaign, Adams received a $70 million, four-year contract extension from Seattle. Adams had 9.5 sacks in his debut season with the Seahawks.
Adams was acquired by the Seahawks in a sensational trade with the New York Jets in 2020. After one season, Adams’s game appearance total for the 2021 and 2022 campaigns was just 13 due to injuries.
This season, Adams has played in nine games for the Seahawks, recording two pass defenses and 48 total tackles.
