The Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins played in the postseason on Saturday night at Arrowhead Stadium. Several players are reportedly reported to have had frostbite.
With negative thirty degrees wind chill and sub-zero conditions, the game was the coldest in NFL history. According to reports, 15 fans were admitted to the hospital; some had treatment for frostbite, while others for hypothermia.
The latter was not just for the spectators; according to A.Q. Shipley, every player who didn’t have sleeves on that particular night suffered frostbite. Shipley said during Pat McAfee show ,
“I think some people got some frostbite,“We heard anyone who wasn’t wearing sleeves. I think on both sides. It was -30. That’s so cold. That’s what I heard from sources.”

Shipley is a former center who has played for the Steelers, Eagles, Colts, Ravens, Cardinals, and Buccaneers, so he presumably knows what he’s talking about.
