After the Los Angeles Lakers’ 138–122 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, star player LeBron James chose not to seek for any positives. Rather, he simply stated the facts.
James declared following the loss that “we could, on any given night, beat any team in the NBA.” James ended with 20 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. And then we could get kicked in the ass by any NBA team on any given night.
The 19-time All-Star proceeded to inquire about the Lakers’ record from a reporter.
“Under .500? What, 24-25?” “That’s where we are.” said James.

James’ gloomy remarks highlight the situation of an underperforming Lakers team that has played at a.500 clip the whole season. The club lost on the road on Tuesday for the second straight time to a team that is below.500, which puts pressure on coach Darvin Ham to make important adjustments before the season’s end.
Ham, who has undoubtedly been under fire lately, came under fire when he started center Jaxson Hayes over Christian Wood in the Hawks game when Anthony Davis was sidelined by hip spasms.
