One day after the Pittsburgh Steelers were eliminated from the postseason by the Buffalo Bills, Mike Tomlin has already made his choice regarding his future with the team.
In a meeting, Tomlin informed his players that he intended to return to the position of head coach in 2024, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. With one year remaining on his deal, the future Hall of Famer informed the organization that reports he was leaving on his own volition were “unfounded.”
In a team meeting today, Mike Tomlin told #Steelers players the speculation about him stepping away is unfounded and he plans on coaching the team in 2024, sources say.

Mason Rudolph, the Steelers’ third-string quarterback, helped the team win three straight games and sneak into the postseason for the third time in four years. But the Buffalo Bills, who were on the rise, were too strong for them, and the home team won 31–17.
In 11 of his 17 seasons as head coach, the 51-year-old Tomlin has guided Pittsburgh to the postseason, winning two AFC Championships (2008 and 2010) and a Super Bowl 45 championship. As the head coach of the Steelers, Tomlin is 173-100-2.
