TPS reports that Dak has one year remaining on his current four-year deal with a $59.455 million cap hit. He’s in line for a new contract that will make him among the highest paid at the position
Jerry Jones has made it clear that even after watching the Cowboys flame out in the playoffs again, “Dak has done nothing to change my mind about any promise for the future.” He also still believes that his team “will go as far as Dak takes us.”
The Cowboys have to reduce his cap hit and the only real way to do that is to give Prescott an extension.
