Super Bowl LVIII parade shooting suspect Lyndell Mays has been arrested and receiving treatment in the hospital. According to reports, he and Dominic Mills have been charged with murder following the chaotic shooting incident at the parade.
Mays is in the hospital and had these confessions made to the police as to how the shooting was orchestrated and all that.
He “circled behind a person” with it drawn, which led to other individuals in the group pulling out their weapons, the documents state.
When questioned by police, Mays allegedly admitted that he was the first to pull his weapon as he feared for his and Witness Nine’s safety.

“When asked what that individual was doing, who he was pointing the gun at, Lyndell Mays stated the individual was running away,” wrote police in the report.
He went on to acknowledge that he was aware children were present, which caused him to hesitate but ultimately did not stop him from pulling the trigger.
Mays allegedly admitted to firing twice into a crowd, with some of his perceived aggressors running away.

“They all could have had guns so he just randomly picked one of the individuals to target because he was in fear of Witness 9’s life,” police wrote.
The man went on to recount hearing the men in the group say, “I’m going to get you,” which he interpreted as, “I’m going to kill you.”
At the time of his statement, Mays’ memory of the event was hazy as he could not immediately and confidently say how many shots he fired into the crowd.
Mays went on to say that he did not hit anyone, although police have not issued an official stance on this position.
When asked why he decided to draw his weapon, Mays spoke with regret.
