Jason Kelce, the center for the Philadelphia Eagles, is attempting to return a luchador mask that he wore to the Super Bowl afterparties to its rightful owner.
The mask appeared in a number of widely shared films that showed Kelce having fun at parties following the Kansas City Chiefs‘ Super Bowl 58 triumph over the San Francisco 49ers.

A family in the Dallas region claims the mask belongs to their son Elijah, and they would like to reclaim it for him, according to Tylee Taylor of NBC 5 in Dallas-Fort Worth.
“Operation Get Elijah His Mask Back” was under progress, according to a post made by Kelce on X.
Operation “Get Elijah His Mask Back” is underway! I appreciate everyone bringing this to my attention, and look forward to uniting Elijah with his mask once again. Your mask indeed brings great fortune, I owe you big time, sorry it was commandeered https://t.co/HHazKInFRi

On the Wave Sports + Entertainment podcast New Heights, Kelce discussed how he “transformed the night” after finding the mask.
Smith informed Taylor that he had given Kelce the mask, and that while he and a friend attempted to retrieve it, the area was quite busy and boisterous.
