Jimmy Garoppolo is just plain unlucky. Following an injury-plagued, miserable rookie season with the Los Angeles Raiders, the quarterback is now facing yet another issue. Jimmy Garoppolo will miss the first two games of the new season due to a two-game suspension, the NFL announced earlier today.
The Raiders quarterback reportedly broke the NFL’s policy regarding performance-enhancing drugs. According to the reports, Jimmy allegedly used prescription medicine without a legitimate league therapeutic use exemption.
Jimmy, according to insiders, has decided not to file an appeal of the ruling. The quarterback will be sidelined for the season’s opening two games.
He won’t be skipping these games for the Raiders, though. Adam Schefter’s most recent sources state that the Raiders administration has chosen to cut Garoppolo before the upcoming season following his suspension. Jimmy played a dismal season for the Raiders the previous year, missing most of it due to injuries.
A poor season for Jimmy Garoppolo
With nine interceptions in 169 pass attempts, he didn’t give fans much confidence in the games he participated in. As a result, youngster Aidan O’Connell was benched in place of Garoppolo. According to Schefter, the announcement will be made official prior to Garoppolo’s $11.25 million roster bonus being active in March. However, the reputable journalist did disclose that Garropolo is still participating in all pre-season hygienic practices despite the two-game punishment.
Story of Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo being suspended two games for violating the NFL's Performance Enhancing Substances Policy, league sources told ESPN. Raiders also plan to release Garoppolo.https://t.co/Pa0ejUaYVE

The NFL community made jokes about Garoppolo’s suspension and termination because of his recent professional circumstances. The funniest ones circulated around performance-enhancing substances and how Garoppolo couldn’t perform well even after using them. When internet users demonstrated to Garoppolo that it is pointless to take medications when Mahomes can be an MVP with his body, Mahomes’ “dad bod” also attracted attention.
The story should be how complicated the ped policy is to follow and how players unintentionally fail to follow the rules. The Union should be screaming about this, especially if this occurred while Garrapolo was injured.

All things considered, the past two years have been difficult for the 32-year-old. The quarterback is currently searching for a third new team in three years.
