In our updated four-round estimate for the 2024 NFL Draft, a few significant deals steal the show.
As the 2024 NFL Draft approaches, there may be more significant quarterback transactions than the ones we’ve already witnessed.
That’s what occurs in the most recent NFL mock draft for 2024, courtesy of NFL.com’s Chad Reuter, who has made a few big alterations to shake up the opening round of this year’s three-day competition.
In order to make it four quarterbacks off the board to begin the draft, Reuter has the Minnesota Vikings trade up for Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy at the No. 4 pick.
Where would J.J. McCarthy end up at and others
McCarthy trails North Carolina’s Drake Maye (No. 3, New England Patriots), LSU’s Jayden Daniels (No. 2, Washington Commanders), and USC’s Caleb Williams (No. 1, Chicago Bears).
The Arizona Cardinals go back up the board three positions for Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze after dropping to the No. 11 spot in the same deal.
Later in the first round, the Kansas City Chiefs climb all the way up from the final pick (No. 32) to No. 19 for Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy, while the Philadelphia Eagles go from No. 22 to No. 16 for Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell. In this scenario, the Buffalo Bills also move up three spots to No. 25 in exchange for Byron Murphy III, a defensive lineman from Texas.
