Zip ties held the hands of the angry passenger, whose name is unknown, as she was having a meltdown in midair. She nevertheless managed to rip a large hole in the United flight attendant’s uniform by biting his shoulder. Witnesses cited by TMZ claimed that she allegedly punched and spat on other passengers.
On its scheduled route from Miami, Florida, to Newark, New Jersey, United Flight 762 did not go very far. The aircraft was delayed by three and a half hours due to the irate customer and the sequence of events that followed. When Orlando Police eventually apprehended the woman and pulled her off the aircraft, the entire aircraft erupted in cheers.
Reason for this fiasco
According to United, the passenger turned “aggressive and disruptive,” so flight attendants had to put her under restraint. TMZ was able to collect video footage taken by other passengers, which included a lengthy list of grievances expressed by the irate woman.
“People are recording me. Don’t come to United Airlines, these people have an attitude problem,”
United airlines told TMZ :
“Our flight attendants worked to de-escalate the situation and protect other customers and after landing in Orlando, law enforcement met the flight, and the passenger was removed,” “We’re grateful to our team for their professionalism and for looking out for the safety of our customers and their fellow United employees.”
