There’s little doubt that the LA Clippers will appear somewhat different in the upcoming campaign.
They started looking for replacements after learning that Paul George, the star they had moved mountains for five years prior, would not be coming back. The Clippers signed James Harden to a new two-year, $70 million contract after he made his decision, and they also added Kevin Porter Jr. and Derrick Jones Jr.
The Philadelphia 76ers, in the Eastern Conference, will also have a new appearance. They officially announced it early on Monday morning, signing the unhappy Clippers player to a 4-year, $212 million contract, forming a new Big 3 with Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and him.

When George spoke about the Spurs earlier in the offseason, he said that they needed a point guard who could “unlock” Victor Wembanyama’s potential. The potential George had suggested appeared to be unlocked when San Antonio signed Chris Paul to a one-year contract worth over eleven million dollars on Sunday night.

The small forward will now try to do the same with Embiid in the hopes of giving Philadelphia the missing component it needs to advance past the second round and contend for a championship.
