2 Doctors and Matthew Perry’s Assistant Arrested After Investigation

In relation to the Friends star’s passing, 5 people—including Matthew Perry‘s personal assistant—have been taken into custody.

The 54-year-old Perry was discovered dead in his Los Angeles hot pool on October 28, 2023, almost a year before the charges. Doctors Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez, drug dealer Jasveen Sangha, dubbed “the Ketamine Queen” by the prosecution, Perry’s personal aide Kenneth Iwamasa, and actor Erik Fleming were named as suspects.

According to TMZ, Perry and one of the suspects had conversations about how to get ketamine, how much it would cost, and the actor’s desire for the drug, all of which were discussed in text messages that were found.

Details revealed regarding Matthew Perry’s death

At a news conference on Thursday afternoon, the head of the US Drug Enforcement Agency and representatives from Los Angeles are anticipated to reveal the allegations. According to Johns Hopkins Medical, ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic that is used to treat pain and depression.

The Friends actor had ketamine in his system the night his live-in assistant found him floating face down in his swimming pool at his Palisades home, according to an autopsy. The autopsy report described all of Perry’s last moments, including his pickleball match at eleven in the morning.

The last time his live-in assistant saw the actor was on October 28, 2023, at approximately 1:37 p.m. When the assistant got back to Perry’s house, he was floating facedown in his hot tub. Before phoning the police, the assistant hurriedly dived in and lifted Perry’s head out of the water.

When the paramedics arrived, they took Perry out of the water and declared him dead. Perry was receiving treatment for anxiety and depression with ketamine infusion therapy. But more than a week had passed before his passing when he had his final session.
