Author Behind Viral Kim Porter Memoir, Chris Todd, Is Confused As He Admits He Isn’t Sure The Story’s Authenticity

You might have seen this viral supposed memoir written by Kim Porter, Diddy’s late ex-wife. But guess what? The author, Chris Todd, is now saying he’s not even sure if the story is real! Can you believe it?

The author spilled the beans and admitted that he’s not completely convinced that Kim Porter’s memoir is based on actual events. He said, and I quote, “It’s real enough to me.” Excuse me? If you’re trying to sell a book, shouldn’t you be sure if the story is legit or not?

So, what does this mean for all the people who have already jumped on the Kim Porter memoir bandwagon? Well, it looks like they might have been duped. It’s a real shame because people were investing their time and emotions into this story.

But hey, maybe this whole thing is just a clever marketing ploy. Maybe the author is trying to create some sort of mystery around the book to generate even more buzz. I wouldn’t be surprised. In this day and age, you can never trust anything you see on the internet.

The 59-page book titled, “KIM’S LOST WORDS: A Journey for Justice, From the Other Side,” was self-published by Chris Todd, who released the book under the alias Jamal T. Millwood. He does not have any other titles on Amazon, yet “KIM’S LOST WORDS” has become a bestseller. The numerous typos in the book and egregious claims have not deterred people from taking the book at face value. Todd finally broke his silence to Rolling Stone, confessing that he cannot be sure if anything in the publication is true.

“If somebody put my feet to the fire and they said, ‘Life or death, is that book real?’ I have to say I don’t know. But it’s real enough to me,” Todd boldly told the outlet. “Sometimes you have to just put it out there. Maybe not 100% of the book is true, but maybe 80% is. That is to get those people to come forward and either corroborate or deny [the claims], and that helps me as an investigator to know the truth.”

Todd claims to be a “producer, author and investigative journalist,” alleging to have solved many pop culture crimes, though none of his assertions can be substantiated. He told the outlet that the “memoir” ended up in his hands shortly after Sean “Diddy” Combs settled with Cassie. However, Todd would not say how or if he could fact-check any of the claims he made in the book.

Meanwhile, Porter’s family has slammed the book, maintaining that the model was not in the process of writing a book at the time of her death. Porter’s close friends Kimora Lee Simmons and Lawanda Lane spoke with Rolling Stone in a joint statement, sharing that they “don’t know [the author] at all.” Another longtime friend of Porter’s, Eboni Elektra, shut down any notion of a book back in July, calling the rumor “blatant lies.” Her ex, Al. B Sure, the father of her son, Quincy, has also promised legal action against the book’s author.

So, my advice? Take everything with a grain of salt. Whether it’s a viral memoir or some outrageous claim on social media, always question the authenticity. Don’t fall for the hype and remember, just because something seems real, doesn’t mean it is.
