Even though the Detroit Lions prevailed in yesterday’s game, Matthew Stafford’s performance stole everyone’s hearts! The Rams quarterback even dazzled both observers and fans with a brilliant no-look pass. After the play was immediately dubbed “the throw of the year,” Colin Cowherd declared himself to be the league’s finest thrower, even topping Patrick Mahomes.
In the most recent The Herd episode, Cowherd stated: “Nobody throws a prettier football, including Mahomes, than Matt Stafford,”
The presenter then highlighted how Stafford overcome all obstacles with his pure skills and challenged the young quarterbacks to watch how a great playmaker gets the job done—almost. Cowherd further stated : “On the road; one of the louder stadiums; pass, rush everywhere; missing your tackles; three missing offensive linemen; your top corners are out. And Matt Stafford put that franchise on his shoulders last night against a great football team and nearly pulled it out.”
It is in no way unfair to give Stafford all this credit. As the fourth quarter came to an end, the Rams were under increasing strain. It appeared hopeless for Los Angeles with the quarterback backed into a corner and two offensive lineman out of the game.

Despite being tackled by three defenders, the veteran accomplished the seemingly impossible by tossing a classic no-look ball to wide receiver Demarcus Robinson on the third down.
Still, not everyone was as impressed by Stafford’s toss as Cowherd was! Fans, including Kelly, the quarterback’s wife, flocked social media to rave over the picture-perfect play!
