According to Rob Gronkowski, He Knows the “Crazy” New York Yankees Supporter Who Grabbed the Ball From a Dodgers Star During the World Series

The sports world was taken aback when Rob Gronkowski revealed that he knows one of the two New York Yankees fans that obstructed Mookie Betts during Game 4 of the World Series. The information was revealed by the New England Patriots on Wednesday when they appeared on Kay Adams’ Up & Adams FanDuel TV show.

After the Dodgers outfielder caught a ball in the right field seats during the first inning of the Yankees’ triumph, the two Yankees supporters were dismissed for touching Betts. Austin Capobianco played on Arizona State University’s club ice hockey team while Gronkowski was a student there, according to Gronkowski.

“Fun fact: That guy right there, grabbing Mookie Betts’ glove, was my friend in college,” the NFL legend told Adams Thursday.

Gronowski’s announcement clearly stunned Adams. He said : “Let me tell you, the whole hockey team, they were absolute maniacs. They were animals — indescribable how wild these guys were,” “Him doing that represents him very well.”

“He is all in for his teams, he is all in for the Yankees, I remember him talking about the Yankees all the time [and] how he loves them so much.” “And that describes him perfectly: Just doing whatever it takes to help his team out.”

Then, Gronkowski referred to Capobianco as a “beauty” and congratulated him “for shining when your moment came.”

Adams, however, retaliated by asking Gronk whether he believed Capobianco’s behavior was appropriate. After saying that he hasn’t spoken to Capobianco “in a while” and that his behavior was unacceptable, the four-time Super Bowl champion took care to address the audience.
