Lawyers of Luigi Mangione and Diddy Are Married

Luigi Mangione and Sean “Diddy” Combs appear to share more than just ankle chains and orange jumpsuits.

Marc Agnifilio, who has been defending the rapper against sex trafficking allegations, is the husband of Karen Friedman-Agnifilo, the powerful attorney that UnitedHealthcare murder suspect Luigi Mangione hired.

Former prosecutor Friedman-Agnifilo left her long-standing role as the chief of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office’s sex crimes unit in 2021 to work for her husband’s private company, Agnifilo Intrater LLP.

The strange life of Diddy and Luigi Mangione’s lawyers

Friedman-Agnifilo served as District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s second in command for seven years before joining her husband in the private sector.

At times, her marriage even produced problems for her job. Friedman-Agnifilo had to step aside from several cases where her husband was defending alleged suspects, such as the rape prosecution of Harvey Weinstein.

After “Boardwalk Empire” actress Paz de la Huerta made “credible and detailed” allegations that Weinstein had raped her some years prior, the disgraced movie mogul hired a member of the Agnifilo Intrater LLP team in 2017. Friedman-Agnifilo was forced to resign from the lawsuit.

Additionally, Friedman-Agnifilo served as the principal investigator on claims that the previous board chairman of Seton Hall had sexually harassed the former president’s wife, a claim that was later determined to be untrue.

It was not surprising, according to other lawyers, that she was chosen to represent the well-known Mangione case. According to a New York prosecutor who told CNN: “She’s got as much experience as any human being, especially in the state court,” “She knows every corridor, every judge, every clerk in the courthouse.”

Thompson was shot dead by Mangione, a 26-year-old University of Pennsylvania graduate, on December 4 as the 50-year-old CEO was making his way to the Hilton hotel on Sixth Avenue, where UnitedHealthcare’s parent company was hosting its annual investor conference.

when a five-day manhunt, the alleged assassin was apprehended on Monday at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania when a staff member recognized him and alerted the authorities.

Pennsylvania is where he is being imprisoned.
