The topic of immigration in the United States has been one of the most talked-about topics in the world in recent months, but on July 2, it became even more contentious when boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) four days after he faced American Jake Paul in Anaheim.
Numerous figures from the boxing and Mexican political communities have spoken out in response to this incident, including his brother Omar Chavez, who has chosen to speak out and defend him against the charges made against him.

Omar Chavez decided to finally go out on Tuesday, July 8, regarding his brother, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.’s case. Julio is accused of organized crime and arms trafficking, and he has connections to criminal groups in Mexico.
The boxer Omar Chavez posted videos from the TikTok site with captions like these on his Instagram stories:
“My brother is not a criminal, nor was he, nor will he ever be in life, never,”
According to ICE reports, boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was arrested because he was in the nation on an expired visa, and because of many investigations, he has connections to Joaquin “Chapo” Guzman, specifically to the ex-wife of the criminal leader’s eldest son, who was killed in 2008.
