Micah Parsons and Brian Schottenheimer of the Cowboys Will Meet to Discuss Sideline Behavior

After Micah Parsons was spotted lying on a medical table behind the Dallas bench during Friday night’s preseason finale against the Atlanta Falcons, ESPN’s Todd Archer reported that Parsons will meet with Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer on Sunday.

The only player who did not wear a shirt on the sidelines was Parsons, who is currently embroiled in a contract dispute with the team and has consequently asked to be traded.

The results of Parsons’ Friday MRI on what has been called a “sore back” were clear. Parsons’ back problem, according to team owner Jerry Jones, is more a result of old contract negotiations than a major injury.

As long as the defensive end does not have a new contract in place, Parsons’ future with the team is still uncertain. Schottenheimer stated that on Sunday, he will talk to Parsons about his careless on-field conduct.

“Without talking to Micah, I need to figure out what he was doing and why he was going it. So until I talk to him, I’m obviously not going to talk about it [with the media].”

On Thursday, September 4, the Cowboys take on the Philadelphia Eagles, the reigning Super Bowl champions, to start the season.
