For three quarters, it appeared as though the Los Angeles Rams would end the Seattle Seahawks’ season. Then, down 16 in the fourth quarter, quarterback Sam Darnold grabbed control of the game to reverse that role and preserve Seattle’s chances of winning the NFC West and earning the top seed. Ironically, Katie Hoofnagle, his fiancée, was there to witness it while sporting an absurd Grinch outfit.
Darnold led the team down the field with amazing passes, including the game-winning two-point conversion on this play, after a chaotic fourth quarter that included an astonishing sideways pass two-point conversion. Darnold scored seven points in overtime.

The Southern California quarterback finished with 270 yards passing, two massive touchdowns, and two interceptions. With two games remaining, the Seahawks now have control over their own fate: If they prevail, they will receive the NFC bye.
