A newly obtained video shows NFL reporter Dianna Russini, who was pregnant at the time, and then-Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel setting off on a private boat trip together in June 2021, TMZ Sports reported Wednesday.
The footage, released by TMZ, captures the pair at a dock operated by a private boat rental company in Putnam County, Tenn. Russini, visibly pregnant with her first child, walks ahead of Vrabel in casual attire — a T-shirt and shorts — while he follows a few feet behind. She turns to speak with him before they board the vessel, according to the report. The two were the only people on the boat during the two- to three-hour outing on the lake.
Russini was approximately six to seven months pregnant when the trip occurred. She gave birth to her son that summer. Both were married to other people at the time: Vrabel to his then-wife, Jen, and Russini to her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt.
Staff at the rental company said they were asked not to share photos of the pair because “Coach Vrabel wanted to enjoy a private weekend,” the report said. Vrabel posed for one photo with employees, while Russini declined, according to a source with direct knowledge.
The video adds to recent scrutiny of Russini and Vrabel’s relationship. TMZ and other outlets previously reported on photos showing them together at various times, including one from 2020 in which they appeared to be kissing at a New York City bar and images from a 2024 casino visit in Mississippi. More recent images from an Arizona resort also surfaced last month.
Russini, a former ESPN and The Athletic NFL insider, resigned from The Athletic amid the fallout. Vrabel, now head coach of the New England Patriots, has said publicly that he wants “to be a better man” for his family and the organization. The NFL has said it found no violations of its personal conduct policy in its review of the matter.
Neither Russini nor Vrabel has commented directly on the boat trip video. The Patriots organization said it is “business as usual” following the latest reports.
The 2021 trip occurred roughly two months before Russini gave birth to her son, Michael Andrew. She and Goldschmidt have a second child as well.
The story first broke Tuesday when TMZ reported on the boat rental documents. The video released Wednesday provides the first visual record of the outing’s start.
