According to CNN, a rock musician and the majority of his family, including his 3-year-old daughter and pregnant wife, were discovered dead after being shot on Tuesday in Mexico.
Jonathan Meléndez, a 35-year-old keyboardist for the indie music group Camilo Góptimo, and his 35-year-old wife, Ana Paula, who was four months pregnant, were shot and killed inside their luxurious Mexico City house.
According to CNN, which cited the Mexico Attorney General’s Office, Melendez’s young daughter and her 21-year-old babysitter were also shot to death.
According to the Attorney General, a fourth victim was shot in the back and three victims, including the daughter, were shot in the backs of their skulls.
The AG added that the household dog was discovered dead with its legs shackled, and two victims had their hands bound. At the site, a 6-year-old kid was discovered uninjured.
Two males were detained by police in relation to the killings, and according to the prosecution, one suspect gained access to the house by using his connection to one of the victims.
