A drug-dealing killer allegedly put a prison nurse’s address on court records, leading to her appearance in court on charges of having a relationship with him.
On November 1, Stephanie Adair, 29, was taken into custody when it was discovered that she was allegedly seeing Jahki Crosdale, an inmate at HMP Wandsworth.
Adair, a resident of Southwark, South London, is accused of one count of public office misconduct. Regarding the alleged affair, Crosdale, 28, is accused of promoting the conduct of an indictable criminal offense.
As part of a “conditions of practice” order issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council last year, Adair was temporarily prohibited from working in jails or other facilities where somebody is serving a sentence imposed by the courts.
She merely spoke to confirm her name and residence when she appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
“This is a matter that can only be dealt with in the crown court,” the judge informed Adair, scheduling her case for September 29 at Kingston Crown Court.
Due to problems with the video link at HMP Manchester, where he is presently serving his sentence, Crosdale was also scheduled to appear but did not.
