The creators of the latest “Halloween” video game recently removed a bizarre minigame that let a well-known character have sex with high school students.
On September 4, early access to the game, which is based on the slasher movie series, was made available to online users. Players can take on the roles of several characters who are trying to flee mass murderer Michael Meyers.
However, gameplay samples soon reveal that Dr. Loomis, a 56-year-old character based on the legendary late actor Donald Pleasence, is capable of having sex with teenage players. On Sunday, IllFonic, the game’s developers, completely eliminated the sex minigame function. Following the videos’ widespread success, one gamer posted on social media:
“I think they forgot to make it so Loomis couldn’t f–k,”
“The 70 year old dead actor’s likeness f–king a teenager has gotta be patched out right?”
In order to avoid the murderer, two players could enter closets and other secret locations in the minigame. One player may move on the other while hidden by hitting a button, and if the other player agreed, both players had to press buttons simultaneously to fill an on-screen heart meter.
The room would tremble as the heart meter filled and audible groans could be heard, alerting murderers to the presence of possible victims. However, the sex was not displayed openly and just showed the exterior of the hiding place.
