After months and months of playing hardball with each other, the New York Jets have finally reached an agreement with veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Finally: Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jets reach agreement on 1-year, $12 million, fully-guaranteed contract, sources tell ESPN.

While Fitzpatrick was missing in action, Geno Smith was receiving all the first team snaps, which has us wondering what’s next for the former West Virginia standout?
Well, after this season, Smith will be hitting the open market and considering the fact he’ll only be 26-years-old, there’s a chance he could become a starter elsewhere.
Now, this is not to say Smith will be handed a job because that shouldn’t be the case at all.
However, since Fitzpatrick only agreed to an one-year deal, maybe the Jets could give Smith another chance next year, but that’s unlikely and at this point, if I’m Smith, I’d be looking for a change of scenery.
