Your eyes aren’t fooling you. The Knicks are red hot and with a key piece such as Kristaps Porzingis, who could stop his blocking brigade? For starters, the Lakers weren’t able to.
If you’ve read my tweets, one thing I’m quite possibly obsessed about is how much of a rim protector Kristaps Porzingis has turned into. Porzingis is a good pupil of the game and he might’ve learned a thing or two from his old teammate Robin Lopez. Lopez was superb under the rim and it’s looking like Porzingis has assumed that role.
The Knicks are on a west coast trip and faced the Lakers last night. It is worth noting that Porzingis was on a slight slump and he broke out of that last night by putting up these impressive numbers: 26 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks.
Those seven blocks just demonstrates how he continues to hustle up and down the court. Take a look at the blocks from last night’s game.

During the post-game, Porzingis discussed him slump and touched upon if whether or not his confidence was gone.
“I’ve been confident the whole time. Maybe it was just more getting shots in rhythm, good shots, and not being too anxious. Sometimes I try to force things a little too much and (Sunday) I wanted to slow down a little bit and take good shots. Good decisions” Porzingis said. “And it came to me, I really didn’t have to force things.”
The Knicks face the Suns on December 13.
