The Lakers secured their first win at home of the season in the LeBron James era with a 121-114 win over the Nuggets last night. Kobe Bryant was in the building to watch the Lake Show as James poured in a triple-double with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.
Lance Stephenson made significant contributions off the bench as well with 12 points, four rebounds and four assists. Bryant said he was impressed with Stephenson’s effort. This definitely had Stephenson excited as one of his favorite players of all-time spoke highly of him.
“Oh man, Kobe, it’s a blessing for him to be at the game,” said Stephenson. (Via ESPN) “That is one of my favorite players. He was like, ‘Good game,’ after the game so I was a little hyped.”
It’s good to see Stephenson still bringing his hustle to the game. It’ll be interesting to see if LA can continue to build momentum after this two-game winning streak after starting 0-3.
