LaMelo Ball continues to state his case for being taken number one overall in the 2020 NBA Draft, as he impressed scouts and made NBL history in his first game of the season.
Although the game didn’t broadcast on U.S. Television over 1 million people tuned in on Facebook to watch the Illawarra Hawks take on the Brisbane Bullets. The unusually large amount of spectators made this event the most watched NBL game in the league’s history.
The Illawarra Hawk’s star LaMelo Ball finished the game with 12pts, 10 rebounds, 4 steals O turnovers in 32 minutes played. His efforts weren’t enough to secure a victory though, even with a 4th quarter comeback to cut the lead down to single digits LaMelo Ball’s team fell to the Brisbane Bullets.
LaMelo Ball’s performance in the loss made history, he became the first player to accumulate a double-double with five assists and zero turnovers. This performance is sure to add to LaMelo Ball’s rising draft stock among scouts who are eager to watch his progress throughout the season.
