The 58-year-old actress, who is well-known for roles in films like Monster’s Ball and Cat Woman, started out as a model and competed in a number of pageants. Halle even finished in sixth place at the 1986 Miss World competition and as the first runner-up in the Miss USA competition. Halle discussed her appearance in a recent interview, stating that she has “always known that I’ve been more than this face and more than this body” in reference to her physical attractiveness.
She said : “So when that starts to go, maybe for the first time in my life, people will focus on the other aspects of me that I think are way more interesting,”

Speaking about getting older, Halle mentioned that she is now typically the oldest person in any room she enters, and she concluded by saying, “And that’s a good feeling.”
The actress and model further stated that, in her opinion, “age is just a number that they stick on us at birth,” pointing out that women are more likely than men to be defined by their age.
Women should “kick that in the face and say, ‘No, I’m going to do what I can do as long as I feel good doing it!'” in response to her observation that aging can occasionally “debilitate” women.
