A female coworker, Valentina Maceri, has criticized Eleonora Incardona for her “vulgar” attire. She was critical of the broadcasters on DAZN Italy and provided Champions League coverage on Swiss broadcaster Blue.
In recent weeks, a handful of announcers at the Club World Cup have garnered attention. These include Eleonora Incardoni, whom Maceri expressly mentioned, Marialuisa Jacobelli, Giusy Meloni, and Dilette Leotta, the wife of Loris Karius. Following the release of her latest book, “F*** Female Empowerment: The Great Mistake of Modern Feminism,” Maceri received criticism.
She states in the book: “In my opinion, the way Italian female reporters portray themselves on the sidelines is occasionally ambiguous.
“I think women should be sexy, but always with style and class. That’s sometimes lacking in Italy. Here, the principle that sex sells applies strongly.”
The 31-year-old Maceri then responded harshly to Incardoni’s “vulgarity” in an interview with Bild. She stated to the German publication:
“If you want to speak on an equal level with players and officials, it’s not conducive.
“Incardona mainly deals with DAZN BET – meaning she presents the betting odds. And she does it very sexy. Sometimes vulgarly.”
Incardoni’s fashion selections have left Americans in awe.
