A sexual encounter between three men allegedly ended in a deadly shooting. Now, Dewayne Gallishaw is facing a murder charge over the incident.
According to authorities, Gallishaw and his boyfriend at the time invited another man to their apartment on March Harbor Place on April 19, 2023. What began as a planned sexual encounter allegedly took a deadly turn inside the home.
The State Attorney’s Office for the 13th Judicial Circuit said Gallishaw went into a bedroom while his boyfriend and the other man were together. Authorities allege that Gallishaw then grabbed a gun and pointed it at his boyfriend.
He then allegedly shot the other man in the head. The victim was killed in the shooting, according to authorities.
Gallishaw’s boyfriend reportedly managed to escape the situation. He ran into a bedroom and locked the door behind him. From inside the room, he called 911 and alerted authorities to what had happened.
Prosecutors said the defendant fired several times through the closed door, with the bullets going through to another apartment and injuring a 73-year-old woman.
If convicted, Gallishaw could face a life sentence in prison.
