Bears rookie WR Alshon Jeffery broke a bone in his hand and will be out for a couple weeks. Some speculated the Bears would be interested in some of the higher profile wide receivers that are available on the market.
According to Pro Football Talk, that idea was shut down quickly.
‘We feel very good about our wide receiver depth,’‘ Bears GM Phil Emery said, via Mark Potash of the Chicago Sun-Times. ‘‘We added a player to our practice squad [Kamar Aiken] to make sure that we were in a good, competitive situation for practice to continue to improve and that’s where we’re at right now with that.’’
