People ask me all the time why doesn’t McNabb lash out or get mad when he feels he is being disrespected by fans, media and in some instances his own team.
The reason is that McNabb wants to be able to keep earning money when his career is over. If you burn too many bridges you won’t get cushy jobs like this with ESPN.
McNabb will serve as a guest analyst next week for ESPN’s coverage of Super Bowl XLV, providing his thoughts on the game, teams and players.
“I am really looking forward to working with ESPN at the Super Bowl,” McNabb said in a statement released through his publicist. “I have done this for the past few years and really enjoy the opportunity to talk about the game. Believe me, I’d much rather be playing in the Super Bowl, but this is the next best thing. I love the game of football and am as big a fan as there is.
Maybe when McNabb’s career is over he will write a tell all book about how he really felt about some of the situations he has been in, but for right now he will play the good solider, so when his playing days are over he can step right into a nice network job.
