The majority of athletes are narcissistic, to be honest most people in general are. We think everything is about us, that we are always the focus of attention.
Men who have positions of power feel women are just overwhelmed by their greatness.
I would imagine a few ladies maybe have fainted at the sight of Michael Jordan, but alas this wasn’t one of those cases.
Michael Jordan mistakenly thought a woman who fainted during lunch was left breathless because she saw him walk into Café Mediterraneo at the CuisinArt Resort and Spa on Anguilla over the holiday. Turns out, she keeled over while chatting with a doctor about how to fix her son’s broken nose. “As the woman was listening, Michael walked in, and she looked up and acknowledged him,” said a source. “She then got so upset by what the doctor was saying about her son, she literally fainted to the floor. The next day, Michael called the front desk to make sure that ‘the girl who passed out when she saw me was doing OK.’ “
I will give MJ credit for checking on the lady even if his reasoning was a bit off.
I never got the fainting, crying and just acting crazy when a celebrity is around. I have seen it first hand and it is a bit weird to me. Especially an entertainer or athlete. Everyone has a gift, it just their gift is to shoot a ball through a hoop or sing very well, doesn’t make them any different than a doctor or electrician that are experts in their field.
It can’t be the money, because I don’t think any faints when they see Mark Zuckerberg, so it has to be the fame that causes the emotions.
Either way when the first young lady faints at the sight of the King of Dollarnaires, I will be sure to let you know.
