Talk about adding injury to insult, last night’s season ending at bat for Ryan Howard proved costlier than just a disappointing exit from the National League Division Series for the team heavily favored to win the pennant.
As Howard lay on the ground after he stumbled out of the box with a leg injury, the extent of it was not fully known. Now according to Howard Eskin (@howardeskin of WIP-AM in Philadelphia reports that the injury is a torn Achilles that will keep Howard out until May or June.
One silver lining though, at least he won’t be missing any meaningful games.
