Portland continues to revamp their bench, which was one of the worst last season. Mo Williams has reached an agreement on a two-year contract with the Portland Trail Blazers, agent Mark Bartelstein told USA TODAY Sports’ Jeff Zillgitt on Wednesday.
The veteran point guard will receive $5.6 million over two years, with the second season being a player option.
Williams missed half the season last year due to a torn ligament in his right thumb. The 30-year old can still produce when healthy. He averaged 12.9 points and 6.2 assists a game in Utah.
Portland will likely have Williams backup the reigning Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard.
