The Nationals want the people of Washington DC to dig deep into their pockets.
The Nationals have reached out to local officials to help get funding to build a retractable roof to put over their $693 million stadium.
The roof has been projected to cost a whopping $300 million, Nats executives have already ran through the plans with the city’s mayor. Thankfully the mayor rejected the swanky roof idea, but one must ask what were the Nats even thinking in the first place.
Surely Washington D.C has better places to pour their financial resources than into an already pricey stadium roof.
