If I was UFC Octagon Girl Arianny Celeste I wouldn’t bad mouth the best female fighter in the world but that’s exactly what she’s done.
Celeste must be upset that Ronda is the woman getting all of the movie rolls and magazine covers, while she’s now an after thought. The UFC was originally built to have guys beat each other up in the cage and beautiful women walk around outside of the cage. Now the UFC has beautiful women beating each other up in the cage and Celeste sees her fame dimming.
Here’s the comment that started it all:
“I don’t really like the way she carries herself,” Celeste said. “I don’t think she’s a good role model for women. I think that women should empower each other and give each other a little pat on the back,” said Celeste.
Celeste then said, “I’ve personally been talked about by her, and I don’t even know her. I’ve met her twice. She said a couple things in herMaxim interview. A lot of people pointed it out to me, but I didn’t really acknowledge it.”
Sounds like Arianny got her feelings hurt by mean old Ronda. A classic “playing the victim to get attention” move by Arianne.
Here’s what Ronda said to Maxim in 2012 that obviously still irks Celeste:
“It would have been really funny if I’d beaten Arianny Celeste, because that would be like a triathlete coming along and beating the runners in a marathon,” Rousey said. “Like, ‘Ha-ha, it’s your job to show your t******—I do that better than you!’ Maybe next year. She’s only getting older, and I’m reaching my prime.”
I vote that the octagon be padded and filled with jello so the two women can settle their differences in a civilized manner. I joke, but somehow Ronda would still manage to sink an arm-bar in a cage full of jello.
