We all know what happened once Ray Rice and his now wife, Janay Palmer, left the elevator the night of a brutal domestic violence incident that left Palmer knocked unconscious for several minutes. However, new video has emerged of what exactly took place once Rice and Palmer entered the elevator.
The gruesome incident occurred on February 15th at an Atlantic City casino, which is now closed. As you’ll see from the video, the couple entered the elevator and appear to be arguing. Palmer seems to slightly push Rice with her forearm and is immediately is struck by Rice. She goes to hit back, but Rice then delivers such a hard blow to her face that she is knocked off her feet and hits her head on the elevator rail. Palmer is immediately unconscious and Rice doesn’t even seem to be bothered as he casually drags her out of the elevator and leaves her there.
This is really disturbing to watch, and hopefully both Rice and Palmer take the seriousness of this to heart. An employee at the hotel at the time of the incident also confirmed that the NFL saw the footage of inside the elevator prior to handing down Rice’s 2-game suspension. The NFL has not commented on this allegation.
