Roger Goodell isn’t very popular right now. After the news broke from the AP that the NFL had the Ray Rice elevator video this whole time, Goodell has been very low-key.
He was scheduled to make an appearance at the 49ers home opener at their new Levi Stadium, but it looks like that won’t be happening any longer.
Goodell was scheduled to attend theSunday Night Football opening of Levi’s Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers‘ new home turf, but a source told Maiocco that the appearance has been cancelled.
“I think he’s scheduled to come,” 49ers president Paraag Marathe told NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai on Friday. “He usually comes to most stadium openings, so I expect him to.”
If Goodell is indeed a no show, this will be the second appearance he was scheduled for but canceled.
